It's that time again, the annual Best Lesbian Erotica reading at KGB Bar in NYC! Yours truly is fortunate enough to have a story in the 2010 edition of the book and will be reading from said book on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00. Writers! is a reading series based on the proposition that readings should be by 1) good writers; 2) who read their work well; and 3) something in it makes people laugh (nervous laughter counts). You know how I love to read at In The Flesh! I'm pretty sure I'll be reading a short excerpt from my story, Family, from the Phaze book, Broadly Bound. The book is all GLBT BDSM all the time. Don't know yet whether I'll be reading a gay excerpt or a lesbian excerpt. We'll see how I feel. Then I went to the December reading at The Happy Ending Lounge and got a lot more nervous. The authors who read were amazing and their stories were great. Could I really do this without making a fool of myself? Who cares? This is New York; I’ll never see these people again—oh yeah, a bunch of my friends said they’d show up. I guess I’ll see them again... I had a great time that evening in December and that bolstered my confidence. I’m ready. I can do this.
